Summer Is For The Birds

Wildlife photography is something that I don't have a lot of experience in. I decided to change that. Birds can be the most difficult wildlife subject to capture, so I decided I may as well jump in head first. It takes a lot of patience and practice. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. I like what I captured, but I have a long way to go to get the quality I really want. I was using a Nikon D7200 with a Tamron 150-600mm lens on a tripod with a gimbal head. You can see a bit of grain thanks to the higher ISO needed. Shutter speeds ranged from 1/1000 to 1/2000 of a second at mostly f/6.3 & ISO 1600 - 3200. I will make more attempts in a couple of weeks. Lots of rain & storm chances this coming week. The birds give me some wildlife practice until the crops get harvested. Then I can focus on deer, coyotes, foxes, etc. See you next week.
